Its price is reasonable, and its pages are overflowing with pieces of hard-to-beat information. I will not hesitate to recommend this book for pharmacy students; and for any other person who takes introductory pharmacology course. It is very sound.

After reading this book. I feel like I am a master. I wished all college textbooks were at the caliber of this tiny little book. Klein is an excellent teacher. He gives the straight facts in a way that makes perfect sense and doesn't bore you to death. Understanding resonance is, I think, one of the most important aspects of organic, and you're doomed if you don't. Beware, this book does not replace your textbook or instructor. All of the important equations such as alcohol, alkyne, and ketone synthesis are no where to be found in this book. This book really gives you the fundamentals that you need to understand orgo. That reason alone is enough to get it.

It's different than the others in that it emphasizes sampling, optimizing methods, analyzing & validating data, handling interferents, stats, experimental design, calibration and QA. In doing so it does not neglect the traditional topics like gravimetry, titrimetry, solvent extraction, equilibrium chemistry and so on.
It covers alot of material and would be sufficient to completely replace a separate instrumental analysis book for upper-level courses if supplemented properly.
It covers everything a beginning analyst should know with clear definitions, explanations and thoughtful examples. It has many end-of-chapter problems, suggested readings and references. Perhaps too many of these were included for a basic text. But on the other hand it does make it useful as a reference and for professors when designing courses.

Certainly, this book deserves much attention and I believe that it describes many concepts in a simpler manner when comparison to Jerry March's book is called upon. The book is well-written and is exactly what undergraduate students interested in organic chemistry need to read if they want to expand their knowledge of the field without getting into a complex text right away. Definitively, I recommend this book in the shelf of any practicing and non-practicing chemist.

Ebook Download | Oxford Dictionary of Chemistry | This A-level chemistry dictionary was a life-saver during my GCE chemistry course and I highly recommend this book to anyone taking chemistry for a degree in university. Do note that there are a few errors definition wise, e.g. the definition of the Rf value. But the new third edition (this one is the second edition) has all that sorted out.
