Ebook Download | Athens, Attica, and the Megarid: An archaeological guide | An excellent overview of most ancient and some major medieval sites within a day's travel of Athens, written with unquestioned scholarly competence but clearly enough to be accessible to the nonspecialist. The one thing I missed was a comprehensive map showing all the sites instead of just the major ones, which would make planning a trip easier. Includes an extremely useful guide to the National Museum in Athens. Unfortunately, the publishers have chosen to issue this book at a price which ensures that 99% of the travelers who could benefit from it aren't going to buy it.
