Ebook Download | The Complete Idiot's Guide to Green Building and Remodeling | Not being in my home country I can't review 'The Complete Idiot's' from a practical perspective, however reading the book is very enlightening. Probably the most imprtant aspect is being shown what is possible, as you never know what can be done or can't. In other words it guides you to know what to plan for and what to aim for in your building. Having done that it also then gives good detail of how to do the various tasks. Useful, very useful.

It does so in an easy to read and engaging way. It is practical rather than theoretical and very easy to read and gives both the "how-to" and "why's".
College represents a huge time of transition and transformation that few parents and students are prepared for. After working on campus in Student Life for many years I have seen how difficult this transition is first-hand. College is not all fun and games ... it is an incredible adventure, but a journey that each person needs to prepare themselves for in any and every way that they can. The Complete Idiot's Guide to College Survival gives us some great real-life advice on "how to do this thing called college.

Ebook Download | Frommer's Alaska 2010 (Frommer's Colour Complete Guides) | This book covers visiting the state of Alaska quite thoroughly, with 45 pages devoted specifically to Denali National Park (which is of particular interest to me). The included foldout map is highly detailed and useful. It is great to see that both Frommer's and Fodor's have been increasingly adding more and more color photos to their travel guides. Previously, the DK Eyewitness Travel Guides and Apa Insight Guides had more color photos in their books, but I felt that they sometimes had too many photos at the expense of informative text. Frommer's and Fodor's use fewer color photos and more text on their pages. Thorough coverage of a state filled with beautifully wild and rugged scenery.

Ebook Download | Frommer's Las Vegas 2010 (Frommer's Complete) | Frommer's is always a great choice when traveling. This books lists restaurants by taste, selection and price. It lists things to do for free in town. It also vividly describes the shows Vegas has to offer, which is helpful when trying to narrow your show selection down to the top choices. And, the book also has overall area maps and detailed, up-close maps that label the restaurants, free things, and shows it talks about. The slightest complaint I have with this book is that the writers sometimes seem snooty when describing restaurants. Sometimes, I just want to know how the food tastes, not how the place looks. Resoundingly, overall, I highly recommend this book.

Ebook Download | The Complete Idiot's Guide to Project Management | A friend of mine suggested that I start to look at Project Managementto help me organize the variety of projects I do at work in a largeautomotive company. (Interestingly enough, the division I'm in has no real PM processes in place.) I searched for books that could get me going in the right direction and as quickly as possible (in addition to joining the Project Management Institute...) This book was an easy read, but presented a lot of tools that I could implement almost immediately. After reading the book, I started seeing very obvious improvement in my team's work--we started to actually understand what we wanted to accomplish and where we were going. If you're interested in getting a quick start and basic understanding about PM, start with this book!
